Satta x EFAM: Kids come up with courageous solutions to community issues
Today we ran two Satta workshops with EFAM in Miami. Kids applied two important concepts - what it means to be an entrepreneur, and what they need to make sure their idea lasts.
The activity was simple: think about a problem you can help your community solve, and build an INNOVATIVE idea for how to bring that to live.
Kids PRESENTED with some really great startups:
a robot to help with morning routines;
an organization to help unhoused individuals;
a workforce program to help city cleanup;
a care service for all animals;
an automated ocean trash solution.
At closing, kids shared which of their classmates they were PROUD OF and why. They gave AFFIRMATIONS about how certain kids spoke up, how their ideas focused on helping; one even shared that they enjoyed the energy that one of students brought to the conversation — this was coming from 7 year olds.
A Kids Entrepreneur Workshop in Miami
Building CONFIDENCE in kids is so important, and it’s even more important to start early. Money confidence is no different. Workshops like this one help kids think about where three things meet: their interests, what they’re good at, and what their own community needs.
Even better, they begin to see the value that each one of their peers brings, building the self-awareness, interpersonal skills, and relational thinking that will serve them for years to come.
Kids can be courageous if we let them!
At Satta, we believe the future is in the hands of the community of kids we nurture, and that centering their IDENTITY along with the courage to move their ideas forward give our kids what they need to for a bright, confident, and flourishing future ahead.
Kids can be courageous if you let them, and Satta helps them see how their ideas can help their community, and turns them into REAL FOUNDERS who have the skills to launch a business that is works and feels good.
